Colgate Alumna Wins Three Consecutive Races

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. (10/14/09) - Colgate University alumna Rachel Pettengill ’07 has won three consecutive running races.
On Saturday, October 10, she placed second overall and first among women at the Hawks Landing Pay It Forward 5K race in Idaho Falls, Idaho. On September 26, Pettengill won the Pinedale 10k at Pinedale, Wyo., with a time of 44:37.39 she topped a field of 168 women. Pettengill launched her hat-trick on September 19, with a win at the Teton Valley Trails and Pathways 5th Annual Horseshoe Challenge at Driggs, Idaho, where she placed first among twenty-nine women in the 10K trail race.
Pettengill was a two-time winner of the Colgate cross-country team's Don Dunn award, now resides in Jackson Hole, Wyo., where she works in a Montessori classroom at the Children's Learning Center.
