Colborne Named Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week

HAMILTON, N.Y. (10/19/09) – Colgate University freshman Evan Colborne (Tampa, Fla.) was named the Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance against Georgetown. This is the sixth straight week that a Colgate student-athlete has claimed an award.
Colborne had a career-high seven points in Colgate's 31-14 win over Georgetown on Saturday, including a 30-yard field goal that gave the Raiders a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter. He converted all four of his extra point attempts and had career-high six kickoffs.
No. 17 Colgate (7-0, 2-0) travels to No. 22 Holy Cross (5-1, 1-0) Saturday, Oct. 24. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. in Worcester, Mass. The Raiders topped Holy Cross 28-27 last season and have a 10-3 record against the Crusaders during the Biddle era.
