HAMILTON, N.Y. (10/2/2009)—Sophomore Elise DeRoo led the Colgate University women's cross country team in the gold race, Friday at the Paul Short Run. DeRoo finished 15th overall with a personal-best and school-record time of 20:42.

West Virginia won the meet placing four harriers in the top-25 for a low score of 105 points, while Navy finished 12th with 450 points to headline the Patriot League. The Raiders finished 26th with 707 points out of a field of 40.
 
Junior Julie Tarallo finished second on the team with a time of 21:50, while senior Emily Oliver, sophomore Kelly Cattano, and junior Stacey Marion rounded out the Raiders with times of 22:37, 22:53 and 23:11, respectively.
 
Colgate hits the course again on Oct. 17, at the Albany Invitational the meet is set to begin at 11 a.m.
