Pilka Named Patriot League Female Diver of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, PA. (11/10/09) – Colgate’s Kim Pilka (Great Falls, Va.) has been named the Patriot League’s Female Diver-of-the-Week, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.
The freshman concluded a successful weekend against Boston College and Boston U in racking up a pair of firsts and a pair of seconds against the Eagles and Terriers. On Saturday, Pilka was a double winner against BC with wins in the one-meter (246.40) and three-meter (258.60) competitions. The following afternoon, she posted a season-best thus far from the three-meter board (263.32) and scored a 237.68 off the one-meter board versus BU.
In six diving events this season, Pilka has claimed firsts in three competitions. In her collegiate debut, she posted a 244.35 in the three-meters to win at Penn State.
Colgate swimming returns to action, November 22 at Dartmouth.
