HAMILTON, N.Y. (5/21/09) —Colgate University senior Brandon Corp (Chittenango, N.Y.) earned first All-American honors from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
Colgate is the lone Patriot League team to have a player represented on the All-America first-team, while it is the first time any Colgate men's lacrosse player has earned first-team honors since 1930.
Corp captures All-American recognition for the third consecutive season after earning third-team honors last season and honorable mention accolades in 2007. The three-time Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, Corp had another standout season at attack for the Raiders. He paced the Patriot League with 35 goals and 28 assists for 63 points. A four time all-Patriot League selection, he was also the first Raider to be named a nominee for the Tewaraaton Trophy, which honors the top lacrosse player in the United States. His personal-best 63 points this season placed him third in the nation in scoring averaging 4.20 points per game.
Corp closed out his career with 194 points off 127 goals and 64 assists, both his points and goals rank second all-time in Colgate history, first in the division I era, while his 64 assists are tied for sixth.
