Sheridan Leads Colgate at Harry Lang Invitational

HAMILTON, N.Y. (9/5/2009)—The Colgate University men's cross country team kicked of its 2009 season on Sept. 5, hosting the annual Harry Lang Invitational. The Raiders took third in the 6k race.
Bucknell won the 6k competition placing all five harriers in the top-10 for a low score of 26 points. Colgate placed five runners in the top-20 to accumulate 72 points for third place.
Junior
Ed Sheridan (Phillipsburg, N.J.) led all Colgate runners in the 6k, finishing sixth overall with a time of 21:01. Junior
Daniel Gleason (Norwalk, Conn.) crossed second among the Raiders with a time of 21:44.
Sophomore’s
Tim Metivier (Tonawanda, N.Y.) and
Mitchell Boucher rounded out the top four for the Raiders, hitting the tape in 22:05 and 22:10, respectively.
Colgate hits the course again on Sept. 19, hosting the Colgate Invitational the meet is set to begin at 12:15 p.m.
