Rejean “Reggie” Boivin was named a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award in 1988, given to the most outstanding college hockey player in the nation, and was a first team All-American. Boivin was Colgate’s leading scorer twice in his career and finished with 173 points (86 goals, 87 assists), making him fifth all-time in goals scored. As a senior, Boivin scored 31 goals to become just the third player in Colgate history to score over 30 goals in a season. In addition Boivin received the Steve Riggs Memorial Award (high standard of ability and gentlemanly play), the Rob Ries Award (player who provides inspiration and leadership), the Coach’s Award, and was named to the all-ECAC first team.
